Boulder Municipal Airport, has been recognized for outstanding collaboration and contribution to search and rescue services by Rocky Mountain Rescue Group with the 2020 Flatiron Award.
The airport is an important part of local emergency management coordination. Situated at the base of the foothills, the airport provides centralized access for firefighting and search and rescue helicopter missions and is used as a training ground to prepare for these critical operations.
CDOT Economic Impact
The Colorado Department of Transportation has released the latest Economic Impact report for the Boulder Municipal Airport. The 2020 study measured the economic impacts of Boulder Municipal airport in several areas, including jobs and business revenue.
