City of Boulder will be conducting prescribed agricultural burns in northeast Boulder today: IBM open space and near Hartnagel open space, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Boulder community members may notice smoke in northeast Boulder today as the result of a prescribed burns conducted by Boulder Fire-Rescue in collaboration with Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.

There will be two separate burns today, one finishing up on the open space near IBM off of 71st. The other will be just north of Valmont Road and west of North 95th Street.

Burn ignition will begin after 10 a.m. and will end prior to 3 p.m. Community members may continue to see smoke past 3 p.m. as the fire crews work on extinguishing the prescribed burn. Please do not call 911 to report these burns as they are not emergencies.
